Christie Blushi
Owner/Coach/Instructor
The 2011/2012 Season marks the 7th year anniversary of Christie Blushi opening Cheer Factor High Performance Training Center and the 6th year of Cheer Factor All Stars. Christie is the founding owner, instructor and head coach of Cheer Factor. Christie’s passion for cheerleading began at the age of just 8 years old on the East Bridgewater Pop Warner team. Christie a former dancer was enamored with the sport of cheerleading and continued on to cheer on the East Bridgewater High School Varsity team throughout high school. On that team Christie was voted and named captain her junior and senior years as her peers recognized her as a true leader. She was also hand selected by the Universal Cheerleaders of America to perform in the New Years London Parade her Senior Year. During her junior year of high school Christie started coaching, as her little sister Alyson was on the team and took that team to the UCA Cheerleading Nationals. Immediately following high school graduation Christie signed on to coach the Varsity team at East Bridgewater high school, and what an excellent decision that was by the town and by Christie. Under Christie’s direction The East Bridgewater Vikings became a Dynasty in the state of Massachusetts, capturing 14 league titles, 14 Regional titles, 3 State Championships and 1 All New England Championships. In addition to the successes in Massachusetts Christie also took this team to the UCA High School Cheerleading Nationals for 8 consecutive years. During her years coaching East Bridgewater Christie also served as the MSSAA South Region Representative of Cheerleading for the State of Massachusetts. Following high school Christie also began her college education at Bridgewater State University and began coaching her youngest sister Jane at the former Cheer Dynamics (Now Cheer Factor – Norwell). It was during this time that Christie realized that her passion for the sport of cheerleading needed to become a career not a hobby as she had too much to share. In March of 2005 Christie opened Cheer Factor High Performance Training Center and has never looked back. Christie also a certified MSSAA Cheerleading Judge and holds several safety certifications including: First Aid/CPR/AED and she is USASF Levels 1 -5 certified. Christie lives in Foxboro with her husband Keith and their son Maxim.

Owner/Coach
The 2011/2012 Season marks the 6th season Erika McLaughlin has been coaching at Cheer Factor and the second season she has become co-owner of Cheer Factor. Erika began cheerleading in college after retiring her competitive diving hat and after a little nudge from Peter Silletti the Framingham State College Cheerleading Coach. Since that little nudge Erika has not turned back, Erika cheered for 4 years at Framingham State College finishing in the top 3 at NCA College Nationals all 4 years. Erika also competed on the East Elite Open All Girl team for 4 years and won several National Championships. In addition to experience cheering she also discovered a knack for coaching. In 2001 she began coaching at Millis High School and coached her team to several league championships, regional championships and state finalist positions. After deciding high school was just too much Christie approached her (her former teammate on East Elite Open) to coach at Cheer Factor in our very first season – Erika coached the very first X-Factor team to several National Championships and has continued to coach all of her teams since then to National Championships. In 2008 Erika coached Cheer Factor’s very first Junior Level 5 team (Xtraordinary) to a bid to the Cheerleading Worlds! In addition to coaching Erika is also a certified MSSAA Cheerleading Judge and holds several safety certifications including: First Aid/CPR/AED and she is USASF Levels 1 -5 certified. Erika lives in Berkley, Ma with her husband Darren, her beautiful baby boy Chase and their Dog Maddie.

Josh is extremely passionate about his athletes and the sport of cheerleading which is why he has committed his career to it. In addition to instructing and cheering Josh is great coach, he has coached several (too many to mention) teams to National Championships, Grand National Championships, Worlds Bid and Worlds Finalist positions.
